It doesn’t really feel like 365 days have gone by since Christmas 2017, but the calendar doesn’t lie. In a few short hours, NORAD will have Amazon, (I mean Santa), flying over my place and dropping gifts off for everyone I love. It’s truly the best time of the year!
Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, I wish everyone I know, be it a family member, friend or acquaintance a safe, happy and healthy holiday. I’ve been able to absorb something from each and every one of you, whether you know it or not.
I always wished I could be Santa when I grew up. I think it was more vanity way back when (you know, who doesn’t love Santa?), but now its all about family. The way you see the kids faces light up (I don’t have kids, but I have two wonderful nephews) and the general happiness that seemingly overcomes even the crustiest of Scrooge’s is magical.
I look forward to waking up, going to pick up my 90yr old daughter (that’s what I call my Mom haha) and heading over my Sister’s place to spread some joy. It’s nice to “turn off” my entrepreneur switch for a few days while celebrating, but rest assured, it never shuts off.
The only thing I wish for Christmas every year is to be more successful than the year before. Enjoy everyone….life is short 😁
I’m sooooooooooo excited and I just can’t hide it….wait, that’s probably some sort of copyright issue and plus now we’ll all have that song in our head….oops my bad!
Tomorrow is the day I’ve been working towards for the past month. I started my extensive training course exactly one month ago tomorrow (if you ever want to know what it is, please message me), which just happens to be launch day! I feel like I’m ready to blast off haha
It’s been an eye opening journey so far, and I’m definitely working towards my goal of ditching that “9 to 5” lifestyle in 2019. It’s time for me to be my own boss and whatever other analogy you can come up with. I’m tired of being stressed out, tired of being overworked and underappreciated. I’m tired of seeing 100’s of coworkers being “let go” during the holiday season.
So how do you change things? You look at that person in the mirror and get it done. I was fortunate to be watching random YouTube videos about new opportunities and I ran into Brendan Mace’s channel (he’s one of the best online marketers today). It was as if he was speaking to me….the rest is history, he’s now one of my mentors and wow, what a knowledge base for someone that is 20 years younger than me!
I will be meeting him in 2019 and my other mentors (most are his business partners) and I look forward to thanking him in person. I am hoping I can be “that guy” for at least 1 person that happens to run across something I either post or email. I want to pay it forward…which is why I am promoting “The Big Five” fairly hard. If I had that product months ago, I could’ve definitely been in this position sooner. But we all know things in life happen for a reason.
Can’t wait for tomorrow…..I hope everyone takes advantage of this product that I wish I had last Christmas!
Before I start, I want to quickly say wherever you are in the world and from my family to yours, my wish for you is a safe, happy and healthy holiday season. This is by far my favorite part of the year! I think I have a permanent smile on my face most days 😁
Next week will be one month since I “took the plunge” and decided to get serious about affiliate marketing. It honestly seems like a year with all of the training courses, videos, conference calls (there’s 2 each week!) and networking I’ve been doing with my group. I’ve been diligently building my email marketing subscriber list and happy to say it’s well over 500 now. Seems like yesterday I was laughing because I had 10…come to think of it, a few weeks ago I had zero hahaha.
If you are reading this and are not yet a subscriber, I hope you sign up on the “subscribe” menu of my website. If you read through my website and blog posts, you’ll get a ton of FREE information and insight into affiliate marketing. I am adding things when I can and emailing my list to keep everyone updated on what’s happening. Nothing makes me happier than to share what I am learning with you (pay it forward!). You’ll definitely get pumped up like me and get into this. If I can do this, there’s no reason you can’t!
This week I’m getting ready to promote my first product launch (The Big Five) for one of my mentors’ business partners (the 20th) and couldn’t be more excited!
There’s a lot to get organized and to get prepared to make this a successful venture, but I’m totally up for it. I have the best team of mentors (these guys have ridiculous $50K+ revenue streams per month), so being trained by them I consider myself lucky!
I hope to get a review copy prior to launch, go through the product(s) and record a preview video. I’ll definitely post it here, on my YouTube channel (click here to go to my channel) and I’ll probably shoot it out in an email as well (so be sure to subscribe). Please know that I’ll always give honest reviews, if I don’t like something or think it won’t benefit your training (or mine) I’m not going to suggest you buy it. I’m in this for the long haul so I’m always going to be honest in my reviews. I’m also going to giveaway a bunch of free bonus products as well, so that’ll kick ass too! It’s going to be an awesome week….
For those of you wanting to be a “flash in the pan” type of affiliate marketer, by all means, there’s no reason to have a subscriber list…..you can do your one-time promotion, hope to make a quick buck and then you can move on to your next “get rich quick” idea. Matter of fact, to keep it real, before I got serious a month ago, I started out by thinking I could be “that guy”. I will buy the product, buy some ads and……….
people would be knocking down my proverbial door wanting to by my product……….yeah, ummm………that lasted a week. If you’re looking to have a lasting AND lucrative career doing this, there’s a reason you’ll here the phrase “the money is in the list” over and over and over. To think I was that “I don’t need no stinkin’ list!” guy……cracks me up now!
When you come across the most successful marketers, just ask them and you’ll find they have 5, 10 or 20 thousand email subscribers! An email subscriber expects email…..as a YouTube subscriber expects new videos periodically, so most will stay a subscriber for hopefully up to a year (the normal lifetime expectancy before someone “moves on” per se or so I hear in the field).
If you’re reading this, chances are you are subscriber of mine (if not, you can go to my “simple two-step formula” page and sign up in 10 seconds). Come on, I had to say that…..because a HUGEsubscriber list is what I want for Christmas and nothing else. Don’t be short-sighted like I was…..get into this and do it right, make a list and check it twice….tis the season ya know!
As I reflect on today, it’s another day I feel like I’ve grown…..Being part of “Corporate America” for the past 25+ years I have learned a lot. I’ve had some great jobs and some really bad ones, some good paying ones and others, not so much. All of the jobs are fairly consistent though, and certain times of the year, consistency sucks!
You can count on everyone holding their collective breath as yet another “budget season” arrives each year (Oct-Dec). Today I was told 50 or so of my colleagues (most of which I don’t know by name) were let go. No warning, no inkling of what was to come….just a letter and a meeting with a Human Resources Rep with a very short term financial “package” (which to get you must sign a paper saying you can’t sue and ask for more $$ down the line, so what @^$# choice do you have?) “We wish you all the best and we know you’ll find something great out there” is the usual line.
Every day I’m in this corporate environment, I feel like it could be my turn. It’s happened twice already in the past 8 years, so chances are it’ll happen again. I don’t want to live like this….it’s a mental shit storm. I wanted to throw up when I heard that news today.
I want to be free…I NEED to be free and well, if I needed MORE motivation to make affiliate marketing work, this is it! I now have 50 more reasons to pursue affiliate marketing…..how many reasons do you have?
